Flora Urbana was a solo show at IdiomArt in Cuenca, Ecuador.  The Collection imagines an alternate history or potential future where the design of classical and neo-classical architectural ornamentation was intentionally adapted to represent local and endemic plants as the style spread throughout the colonial world. Both fantasy and commentary, the collection deals with the complicated history of globalization, the value of local traditions, biodiversity, and cultural patrimony. High quality giclée prints of this collection are available through Saatchi.

Ornament Is  was an invited group exhibit at the Bridgeport Art Center in Chicago Illinois that explored the extents and role of ornament in architecture.  Emily's pieces included in the show highlight the how the ornamentation of columns mix classical traditions with local craftsmanship and iconography to create place.  The show is curated by Joshua Mings and Stephen Wierzbowski, and Marci Rubin building curator for the Bridgeport art Center.  Pieces from the show are now available for purchase at Buddy Chicago.
